NOVEMBER 8, 2016.
Xavier arrived home at night, poured a glass, and lit a candle and some sage. None of it worked.
In the coming days, once the panic had settled, he began to deal with living in a country now unmasked the way he knew best. By December 2016, Corre Diablo - the words written on that candle- was born.
Corre Diablo is a punk/indie band based in San Diego, CA, consisting of Xavier Delgado (guitar/vocals), Brandon Michel (bass/vocals), and Cory Tsuyuki (drums). The trio pulls influence from celebrated acts Jawbreaker, Alkaline Trio, and Hot Water Music. While sonically familiar, Delgado and Michel's lyrics offer a different take on the sociopolitically aware band: passionate, reactionary, desperate - and occasionally hopeful - the two have a message to deliver and insist on being heard.
Corre Diablo released an 8 track EP titled "Claws" on October 13, 2017, and is prepared to share their infectious take on a classic sound anywhere and everywhere.
